Discipleship

Our Lord Jesus said in Matthew 29:18-20, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age."  (emphasis added)


It is our prayerful desire that by God's grace we disciple our members,  building up those already converted to Christ and discipling them to maturity (not to the exclusion of making disciples from the lost). (Colossians 1:28-29)  

The means by which we disciple one another is through the preaching and teaching of the Word and through the fellowship of the believers. As a group of believers we strive to practice the "one anothers" in scripture - living in fellowship around the teaching of the word on a regular basis and not just during corporate worship on Sunday mornings. Therefore, we encourage our members to become part of one of our Sunday School classes, participate in Women's ministry, Men's ministry, Sunday and Wednesday night bible study, and outreach and fellowship opportunities throughout the year.

Discipleship Opportunities

    • Adult Class - taught by Glenn Jones. This class meets in the fellowship hall.
    • Adult and Family Class - taught by Bobby Azam. All are welcome from 6th grade up! The class meets in the Five Solas Classroom.
    • Children's Classes - Classes for children up to 5th grade. These classes meet in the children's wing of the church.

  • Our Corporate Worship service is a weekly gathering where we desire to worship our God and King. Exalting God as He prescribes in the Bible  -  worshiping Him in Spirit and Truth.

  • Bible study and fellowship time for all ages!

  • Bible Study for all ages in the Sanctuary starting at 6:00 p.m. Following the study time, the group will divide into small groups for youth, kids, and adults. In these groups, leaders will guide the group in discussion, questions, prayer, etc. in order to equip the individuals to better "walk in a manner worthy of the Lord" (Colossians 1:10) in their daily lives. 

    ...so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 

  • Following the Family Bible study on Wednesday nights, the youth meet upstairs for a meal and additional study.

    Currently they are working through the book "Cold-Case Christianity" by Warner J. Wallace

  • During the school year the ladies of the church meet once a month for fellowship and study in the word. We include the young ladies of the church (infants to adults) in some of these meetings  - giving the women a chance to live out Titus 2!

  • One Saturday a month in fellowship hall. Men of all ages  meet for a great time of fellowship, and encouragement from the word and a delicious breakfast! Currently they are reading and studying through "Disciplines of a Godly Man". 

  • Outreach opportunity for our youth! A time/place for them to invite friends and school mates to come hear the good news of Jesus! Parents and other church members are welcome to attend or help with these events as well!
